Futura is a not-for-profit organization established in 2008 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of contributing to the quality of life in the city and surrounding region. Futura is independent from state and international governmental organizations. The work of the association is focused on improving the media literacy of B&H citizens, providing information and education about their rights and obligations as well as providing assistance through mediation and legal advice. Shift agency was engaged to help create the overall look and visual representation of the organization, an appropriate expression that would make the Futura organization immediately recognizable. The name of the organization "Futura" obviously suggests that it aspires to change and improve life and that it is future oriented. Recently, Futura launched the creation of a network of NGOs in Mostar under the name "Our Society," whose visual identity was created by Shift. Our agency was also responsible for the campaign design and development of the project “Rights of the City,” implemented by Futura. So our task was to envisage a modern, proactive, twenty-first century not-for-profit organization that is becoming more and more important in local public policy decision-making. The conceptual solution is directly related to the old logo, but presented in a more human way. The leaf symbolically represents life. Created in this form, the leaf also represents the initial letter “F” of the association’s name and can function independently as a decorative element for different applications.
