The University of Mostar is the only Croatian language university in Bosnia and Herzegovina and it plays an essential role in the lives of Croat people in BiH. The University consists of 10 faculties and the Academy of Fine Arts in Siroki Brijeg. In honour of the 35th anniversary of this institution, this richly equipped and lavishly decorated Official History was created. The task of our agency was to create a distinctive graphic concept for the book and prepare a large amount of visual and textual materials for the high-quality printing and reproduction. The book traces the development of the University through its historical, educational and social function. Shift has created a clear and distinctive appearance for the book, which content includes hundreds of photographs as well as text. Our designers collaborated with the editorial board of the book as well as other technical collaborators on this project. This book brings together a large number of photographs and illustrations that communicate with the reader on three separate levels. At the beginning of each chapter there is an art installation which introduces the reader to the theme to follow, whether in one of the introductory chapters or in those describing individual faculties. Then there are the abstract art photographs which relate to the content of each chapter. In the end we have a classic content page which consists of text and its accompanying images and illustrations. The book cover was printed in the distinctive blue colour of the University and was covered with a matt coating.
