University Clinical Hospital Mostar

Design of the “Official History of University Clinical Hospital Mostar"

Category: Print

The foundations for Mostar Clinical Hospital were laid back in 1977, but the new hospital facility, located in the Bijeli Brijeg district, began operating at full capacity at the beginning of 2009. That same year the local council declared it a University Clinical Hospital. Throughout its long history, this hospital has undergone a series of reforms and passed through some difficult times. During the war period, in addition to providing health services to the civilian population, Mostar War hospital took care of all war - afflicted military and civilian casualties. Today the University Clinical Hospital is guided by the same foundational principles; a mission to provide the best healthcare, based on good clinical practice, responsibility and humanity.

In cooperation with SKB Mostar/UCH Mostar, Shift has created and graphically designed an extensive Official History of the hospital. This publication, containing over 500 pages, covers the history of the hospital - from the 1979 when the foundation cornerstone was laid on Bijeli Brijeg up to this day. Having carefully and professionally assembled an editorial council, we went through a large number of “raw” materials, text and photographs, in order for the final result to be unique and to truly meet all professional criteria entailed by a challenging and laudable project of this kind.

Interesting texts and a large number of rarely seen photographs makes this very interesting publication of great importance not only for the hospital, but for the city of Mostar as well.
