Branch of Matica hrvatska in Mostar receives a silver plaque for the monograph Days of Matica Hrvatska - Mostar Spring: 20 years

Branches of Marica hrvatska have in the last, pandemic ridden year given more than 150 notable titles to Croatian culture at large. In an attempt to valorize the publications of individual branches, Stipe Botica, the president of Matica hrvatska awarded seven golden and silver plaques to select publications at the annual general meeting of Matica hrvatska.

It was a great honor for us to participate in this project through the graphic design of this award winning monograph.

The branch of Matica hrvatska in Mostar was awarded the silver plaque for distinguished contribution to Croatian culture for the book Days of Matica Hrvatska - Mostar Spring: 20 years, edited by Misijana Brkić Milinković and Miro Petrović. It was a great honor for us to participate in this project through the graphic design of this award winning monograph.

Established in 1999, International cultural manifestation Mostar Spring - Days of Matica Hrvatska is a full-fledged member of the Association of European Festivals. Commemorating 20 years of it’s existence, this monograph presents the activities of the festival between 1999 and 2000 and is hence a comprehensive overview of more than seven hundred performances and events that the audiences were able to see at the festival throughout the years. The monograph is based on the past work of the cultural institution and a collection of essays and articles penned by Dragan Marijanović and published by the daily newspapers in the span of the last two decades.

Design of this voluminous publican is based on a classical newspaper layout resulting in a harmonious and consistent look that seamlessly blends a great variety of art and cultural projects featured in the monograph with the articles that originally appeared in the daily newspapers.

We take this opportunity to congratulate the branch of Matica hrvatska in Mostar on this great achievement and to wish them continued success in the future.
