Label design for new schnapps

In this packaging project for schnapps (a traditional, strong alcoholic drink that can also be flavored with fruit), we decided to use illustration as an integral part of the design. Besides the Horace sector, the client wants to sell the product in supermarkets as well, so for this very dynamic and competitive environment the packaging has to communicate information quickly without the need for buyers to do detailed reading.  We decided to use illustration instead of images, primarily because this technique is more flexible than photography and is adaptable to many packaging applications to reflect the product nature and brand personality. The illustration tells the story of the original domestic drink by visualizing its history through the illustration of an old man from Mediterranean area, providing a clear visual explanation of the brand personality.
