2011 was the year of redesign and investment in market performance and communication for our client. The lead of the Diary turned to us, with the task to redesign the packaging of their traditional cheeses, including their most famous product - Livno cheese. The visual expression of the Livno cheese felt dated, and out of synch with the quality of the product. Advertising investments had stagnated, which had unleashed the progress of competition. Nevertheless, the client had a number of competitive advantages because of the quality of its product, which is due to their long-standing tradition and the originality of their preparation. Our assignment was to redesign the traditional packaging. Being aware that we had to focus on the tradition and reputation that the brand already had, we adapted the brand architecture and started this project by redesigning the most important dairy product - Livno cheese, and two other well known cheese sorts - Cincar and Trapist. In addition to the redesign of existing brands, the client recognized the potential for growth through the expansion of its range of products in the category of creamy cheeses and cream. We designed the new collection of products in recognizable dairy stylistic, but with a more modern approach. The colors green and blue, together with a modern typography and design, underline the product quality of one of the largest dairies in BiH. We introduced the new color palette with the aim of differentiating three new products in the range: blue for creamy cheese, green for fresh cheese and yellow for cream. This project is a great example of how a traditional brand story can be reinterpreted in a modern fashion.
